Anybody want a sweet car?
Here is a cheap plug! I am considering a new (used) car which means I need to sell the Mountaineer (1999, 138,XXX miles). So, lemme know if you are looking for inexpensive wheels to get to Tahoe.
Sorry for the lame post!

Not sure what your views on the H1N1 vaccine are, but apparently we need more scandal in our lives. Whacha think 'bout this one?

New year, new team, new job, new...well almost everything.
The rumors are true. Next year I will be teammates with fellow former Nebraskan and KAOS member Matt Landen. Lyne has a pretty good blurb on the goings on for the pro peleton in 2010. Check it out. http://www.podiuminsight.com/2009/11/04/continental-teams-bahati-foundation-adageo-energy/
Anyway, above is a picture of a race from 2007 when we were still on Team Kaos. Matt is the tall one in the picture for those of you who don't know him.

Get the DROID?
I am thinking about this as opposed to the iPhone. Need feedback from those "in the know."

God Bless Nebraska
Here are a couple pics from my recent trip back home. This first one I call Herby. We saw him in my home town bowling alley and I thought he was the true stereotypical man from Nebraska. Complete with torn up Nebraska Cornhusker ball cap that has seen more corn rows then Coolio. The beat up work boots, denim overalls, and a red flannel coat complete the Nebraska man wardrobe. I never introduced myself to him but rest assured his name has a biblical reference.
Below is "the gang." Nick and Matt are the guys I will be working with off the bike.

To Nebraska and back again
I spent all of last week in my old stomping grounds of Omaha and Lincoln, NE. For those of you who have never heard of Nebraska, don't worry, most people haven't either. So, here is a little background..
Nebraska is in the middle of the United States. We are "famous" for growing corn, feeding beef cows with the corn we grow, and then eating the steak that came from the cows that ate the corn along with corn muffins, creamed corn, and grilled corn on the cob. Omaha also hosts an annual tournament of college baseball teams called, "College World Series." However, it is rare that a team from Nebraska makes the tournament so few Nebraskan's actually know about it. Lastly, we are home to the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Not only do we have an AMAZING volleyball team, but also an up and coming football team.
One thing that I was really looking forward to was the Wednesday Night Ride in Lincoln. Like clockwork, all of the whose-who of Nebraska cycling shows up for this ride. Since the State Road Race was the following Saturday, it was kept pretty chill, but we still had a good time. I got the chance to catch up with some of my team mates from back in the day that I haven't seen in a couple years. I also got to ride with the bro!
Below is Barbora, the great hope for the women's Husker Cycling team. She came to UNL from the Czech Republic to race MTB. Oh, and maybe get a degree ;-)
Here is Matt getting warmed up. The race started out pretty slow so somebody had to get on the front to keep it above 15MPH.
Lap 4 there was a flurry of attacks and ounter attacks just before the dam. I think I got the best of it as I broke away from the pack.
After a couple laps in the pictured positions, I came away with the win. Matt won the field sprint in 4th.

Team America (get it, red white and blue?) talking race tactics before the race. Pictured is me, Matt, and Bryan.

Where in the world is... part 2
San Francisco Grand Prix
Raced the SF GP Monday. This is one of my my favorite races since it is well put on by Velo Promo, well funded by Metromint, and in a nice downtown setting (Levi Square in San Francisco). Since my racing for BISSELL is pretty mucy over, it is "vacation" time so it was nice to just go and have fun again with the locals. Also, Bret Ritter is in town and stopped by the race before heading up to Santa Rosa to do some riding with me.

Where in the world is......
Now that I am home for a while, I have decided to do some exploring. So let's play a little game. I'll take pictures from my rides and post them. You tell me where they are. I will give hints. Maybe I will give out prizes or something if somebody can identify a few days worh of pictures. Stay tuned!
Oh the Valley. So nice. And NO cars~!
I love this road!
This building explained why the entire town was shut down yesterday (Saturday) . I stopped in at the gas station to get fluids only to find the doors locked.
Pinarello + Napa county = :-)

Real or Fake
For those of you thinking about mammary at the moment, get your mind out of the gutter!
Anyway, was emailed this video and initially thought, "yep, that seems plausable." But after thinking about it for a day or so, I started thinking that there is no way an actual human would consider risking their life to pull off that kind of stunt. What do you think? Real or Fake?

Home sweet home
Did the Guysers Loop this morning. Very nice to be home on my own stomping grounds. Glad I traveled a lot this summer but I did miss it here.
Another view from the hills north of HBG.
Here is a picture from a wine bar in NYC. Nice place. Server was unfriendly. She will pay for that Yelp style >:-)
Best Belgian ever. They had more types of tastey Belgian brews then I had ever thought possible. Will be back.... every time!
I did several hours of work on my laptop in Bryant Park. It was just around the corner from the Mela Hotel. Lots of healthy restaurants around the park. Very nice!

I'm on a BUS!
Currently I am on a Greyhound but heading to NYC. This is kinda cool since I have never ridden it before. Fortunately, the NY countryside is very pretty. The rolling hills and lush vegetation give me something to look at. So I am looking at it like a 3 hour tour.... (ech0, "a 3 hour tour).

Chris Thater Memorial
Today was the Chris Thater Memorial Criterium in Binghamton, NY. The goal of the team was to preserve TZ's #1 spot in the NRC. That meant to make sure Sebastian didn't win. 3 teams were present and ready to fightBISSELL, Planet Energy, and Colivita. So all race, we covered breaks and worked in them to see if they would stick. In the end, no breaks worked since both Colivita and PE wanted a bunch finish. But in the end, we accomplished the main goal, as Seb ended up 2nd. Tom, you can send half your bonus check to me and I'll split it up among myself, Pete, Cody, and Jeremy ;-)
We rode well but ended up 18th, 22nd, and 31st. But hey Tom is #1!!!

Michigan Recap
Milford Criterium:
One of the best criterium courses this year. Started in downtown Milford and looped through some residential streets then back again. Probably 50 feet of clombing per lap. Which doesn't seem like much, but it was enough to bust things up a bit. We all took turns attacking off the front and at about 15 laps to go, Grammo got off for good. He ended up lapping the main pack but not the 15 man break away. Then at 4 lapps to go, Derrek attacked and after a short chase, the pack let him go too! In the end, we ended up 1, 2, and 6. Not bad.
